Step 1 of 2

Volunteer agreement

Please read the agreement below carefully before continuing to sign it.

1. Purpose

This Volunteer Agreement ("Agreement") sets out the terms under which you ("Volunteer") may participate in search activities coordinated by Eye In The Sky ("EITS"). By signing this Agreement you confirm that you understand and accept these terms.

2. Role of the volunteer

Volunteers assist with searches for lost dogs using drones, ground teams, sightings coordination, and related activities. Volunteers act at their own discretion and are not employees, agents, or contractors of EITS.

3. Safety

Volunteers must follow all applicable laws, site instructions from search coordinators, and safe operating practices for any equipment they use, including drones. Volunteers are responsible for holding any licences or registrations required to operate their equipment.

4. Assumption of risk

Search activities can involve remote or difficult terrain, variable weather, and other hazards. Volunteers participate voluntarily and assume all risk of injury, loss, or damage arising from their participation, except where caused by EITS's gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

5. Release and indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Volunteer releases EITS, its coordinators, and other volunteers from liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in a search, and agrees to indemnify EITS against claims arising from the Volunteer's own negligent or unlawful conduct.

6. Privacy and data

Information you provide, including your name, contact details, and signature, will be stored securely and used only to coordinate volunteer activities and maintain records of agreement acceptance. It will not be sold or shared with third parties outside of search coordination purposes.

7. Code of conduct

Volunteers agree to treat other volunteers, dog owners, and members of the public with respect, to follow the reasonable instructions of search coordinators, and to act in good faith in the interests of reuniting lost dogs with their families.

8. Termination

Either party may end the volunteer relationship at any time. EITS may remove a volunteer from search activities if this Agreement or the code of conduct is not followed.
